Pokemon, Mario, and Grand Theft Auto are the 3 best selling video game franchises of all time, but which one is the best?

Mario contains all Mario franchises, including the mario kart, mario tennis, mario galaxy, all of it (no smash though)

Pokemon contains all pokemon franchises, including the main line games and pokemon mystery dungeon, ranger, and so on

GTA contains all Grand Theft Auto Games

With all of this, which Franchise do you think is the BEST.

Those are my top three gaming series. This is tough

I started with Mario as Super Mario World was the first game I remember playing. The Mario series will always be the O.G for me. I enjoy pretty much everything about it (2D, 3D, paper mario, etc). It excellent mobile & console games with it.

With Pokemon, I played/own more Pokemon Games than both Mario/GTA. It's been 15+ years and I'm still playing it at some quantity. It's my favorite mobile series.

GTA however is my favorite console series, as Open World is my favorite genre, with 3D platformers right behind it. It packs the most powerful 1-2-3 punch (Gta III, Vice City, San Andreas) with IV & V being grand themselves, and has always been the standard for other open world/exploration games since then. The atmosphere, the freedom, the characters, the radio, just all magnificent.

At the end of the day however it's Mario (as a whole) > GTA > Pokemon.

Pokemon. No argument.

I can't decide.
GTA Vice City is literally the best thing ever. Super Mario 3 is so good too. Pokemon is great, and I love the series but I only use it competitively now. I would say Mario > GTA > Pokemon.
But they're all flawless.

Mario and Pokemon have practically the same storyline every iteration yet they're still more intriguing and novel than the ones from the GTA series. Then again, I very rarely throw around racial/homophobic slurs, so I'm probably not who GTA was originally intended for.

Pokemon is the best video game franchise EVER. Nothing will ever come close to its flawlessness.
Mario is the second best though.

I never played a GTA game so I can't judge that.
