Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino headliner Britney Spears, along with Caesars Entertainment and The Rape Crisis Center, have come together to promote this message of the Party Smart campaign, an initiative that encourages tourists and locals to have fun, but do it in a safe and smart way.
Spears’ Party Smart public service announcement is airing on several local television stations and on messaging platforms throughout Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas properties. In addition, Reagan Outdoor has donated digital billboard space throughout the destination to promote Spears’ Party Smart message during the holiday season.
“The principles behind the Party Smart campaign are completely aligned with Caesars Entertainment’s guest experience goals,” said Phil Auerbach, senior vice president of hospitality and entertainment marketing for Caesars Entertainment, in a news release. “Delivering the highest quality entertainment through world-class performers like our own Britney Spears, while keeping our guests safe, are top company-wide priorities.”
“Watching out for your friends and staying together throughout the night is a simple, easy way to party smart,” said Spears. “I am proud to support the Party Smart campaign and remind everyone to stay safe while they are living it up in Las Vegas.”
The Party Smart campaign is a dual-pronged initiative that includes safety tips for party-goers as well as training for club staff on how to spot and prevent predatory behavior. According to Daniele Dreitzer, executive director, The Rape Crisis Center and one of the Party Smart organizers, there is much people can do to protect themselves and others. As an active bystander, you can help stop situations before they happen.
Other Party Smart tips for both males and females include:
• Get your own drinks and never leave drinks unattended.
• If you start to feel sick or overly intoxicated when you have had little or no alcohol, get to a safe place immediately and call someone for help.
• Know where you friends are and check in with each other frequently. Be aware of security personnel and use them as a resource if necessary.
• If a friend has been drinking, don’t let them leave with someone they just met.
• Make sure your phone is charged and always accessible. You can’t use a safety app or text a friend if your phone is dead.
• Make the Party Smart promise with your friends before you go out: Arrive Together. Stick Together. Leave Together.
