Hey guys, I was wondering if you think it would be any fun to travel to a different country by yourself.

I really wanna book a trip somewhere for next Christmas, but no one I know is willing or able to put down a couple thousand right now. I really don't want to keep waiting tho. So people often travel by themselves? I won't be going to any dangerous area. I'm thinking either Sydney, AU or Dublin.

I think I would get bored without someone to talk to, but I'd definitely recommend a place where you have a lot to do, like a European capital. My favorites are Tallinn, Prague and Istanbul.

I've been to Japan by myself. There was always something interesting to see. And the benefit of going alone is you can go wherever and do whatever you want.

I often think about travelling somewhere by myself, my friends can be so unreliable :/

I like my own company anyway so I don't think being alone would bother me too much.

See that's my biggest concern, getting lonely while I'm there.

And this is why I want to at least go somewhere with a lot of activity and history.

I recommend, beyond discovering a new face, you'll be discovering yourself. It's an amazing experience, plus I'd recommend going to Dublin, people are so friendly, you'll make a thousand friends.

You can meet new people! Go to coffee shops and start conversations etc.

just download tinder or grindr and make friends in the country that you travel im gonna do that i need the money first

I'd probably feel lonely. I would never go on such a big trip all by myself.

Check out this thread. It's not for everyone but I think it would be a great experience. You can grow and learn so much more about yourself, the city, etc.

I'd recommend going to a big enough city so you always have something to do or someone to talk to if you get bored/lonely. I plan on doing it next year but everyone I know thinks it's either weird or dangerous

Usually I get bored/lonely after a few days so I prefer short trips. Dining alone was probably the worst thing when I first traveled by myself. But I got over it.

I love tbh. I've come to really appreciate the time i spend with myself.

I'm planning a Los Angeles trip for May, alone. Im not gonna lie, it's going to be a bit scary.
