how did you play final fantasy only once? They have the most iconic JRPGs in gaming history. Lately ive really gotten into FPS/RPG games like Destiny and Borderlands. I used to hate FPS shooters but these aren't the same. they are very addicting and social.

I only played once when I went to my cousin's place I wanted to download it later on but always forgot
If you're into Strategy-type RPG's, I suggest Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea 2… for the JRPG style, go with Star Ocean 3 or 4 (cringe-worthy story telling, but amazing gameplay!) Best RPG games are definitely the Elder Scrolls series… you will NEVER stop playing those! Personally, my favorites are Mana Khemia and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep!
EDIT: If you do play a Final Fantasy, try VI or X for the story, or XII for the gameplay… either or, I'm sure you'll enjoy them…

Pokemon is too one-dimensional for me
Pokemon is pretty wonderful, actually. I think some games are deep enough with the story to be respectable, especially for the format in which they're presented.
It's not as deep in story or characterization as some other games, but having grown up with it I can attest to the fact that you can really immerse yourself in the franchise if you want. They've perhaps curbed some things in the name of appealing to a young demographic lately, though.

Well, if we bring the Elder Scrolls games up, I do have to point that anyone who plays Skyrim (probably the game I've logged the most hours on in total) will be rather disappointed by earlier entries in the series due to pacing, difficulty, graphics, etc. But they're all fun imo.

you can practically get it on every console and if you get used copies you can get them for 10 bucks at gamestop or even download them at the PlayStation store.
