I would like to learn a new language to add to my curriculum next year so do you think i can learn italian in one year? I mean, is it hard to learn the system of the language? Is it similar to spanish like some people say? Please italian speakers, help me.

I find very easy, plus is such a beautiful language, you'll have fun learning it.

I will take it next semester and I expect it to be very easy cause French is soooo easy.

Not an Italian speaker but relative to other languages, it should be easier because they're both Romance languages so a lot of vocabulary and syntax should be similar. But still, learning any language is always a challenge; with sufficient and repetitive practice, I think you could learn it in a year.

I've only learned a little but I'm starting up again with quick lessons and Duolingo and stuff, and it's actually quite easy to learn; if you know Spanish, it's definitely going to be easier, because a lot of things work the same way.

If you know Spanish, the basics are basically done since they're pretty similar.

Depends on the level you have to reach, learning a grammatically correct italian for writings it's complex

It's pretty hard to get to know Italian in 1 year, but if your start and talk to ppl in Italian (even virtually), watch movies or listen to music it can help a lot like any language.

If you choose Italian cuz you what to know it and you think you might like it just go for it, the grammar seems so hard and it's full of exceptions but with some help from the internet you won't have many doubts.

Well it's my mother language and I don't know how they teach it WW, but the grammar is very very articulate and wide, it's much more complex than English

If you know a Romance language it'll probably be very easy since gramatical ly they aren't that different and you already know a huge portion of the vocabulary.

Oh well, it's not easy to learn any language in 1 year, though compared to other languages, I find italian to be very easy and simple to learn. You'll probably have no problems at all, if you already know spanish too.

I wanna learn it tbh. I should of started off with Italian instead of French :/

Probably one of the hardest between the "western" languages,but there are surely many way more difficult than italian.
For example English is an easy language to learn,Italian is a bit more complicated,especially when it comes to verbs and basic grammar.
Not impossible at all though,it's not Japanese kind of hard.

Harder than French/Spanish but still easy compared to most other languages.

It helps that Italian has a lot of amazing music.
