i mean this is her 2nd best selling week of 25 in UK, and like the 5th(?) best week of all time! bigger than susan boyle's first week, which was the record 1st week before 25. 25 has now 3 weeks ahead of that old record!

and just imagine, UK has a population size a fifth of US, so just by comparing sizes of the countries, Adele's sales this week is like 2,4 million in US! (same as the old all time record week in US )
and its total so far in UK, 2,4 million, is like 12 million ****ing copies in US!!

I know the three weeks leading up to Christmas Houston set three back to back Soundscan records in the US with I Will Always Love You. She sold right at 500k, then 585k, and then 630k+ the week of Christmas. This record wasn't broken until Candle In The Wind 1997 almost five years later. And the two weeks leading up to Christmas The Bodyguard Soundtrack sold about 880k and then became the first CD to break a million in the US Christmas week. It seems strange now, but no CD cracked the million seller mark again until many years later.
