was she-wolf the best first single??? i NEVER thought so.... BUT it was good enough to allow the album to release as scheduled. NOW, the anticipation is absent and she's competing with rihanna and gaga. so in essence, this IS her labels fault

The push-back move is majorly a factor of She Wolf's diminishing luster but Ms. Carey has showed defiance over this jinx with Emancipation of Mimi years ago and now Ms. Keys might be the next proof of overcoming this badluck this year.
With She-Wolf, yes it was definitely enough to call for the album's final release but the management is focused on a long-term goal. Thus, Give It Up To Me was appended to the album's tracklisting, giving it a more complex and diverse sounding that will hopefully cater to most music buyers of the world's largest music market.
The thing is, Shakira's new adventure with the techno equipments are not as effective as her Latin-infused beats. Let's just say;
1. If Shakira stuck to her musical roots, She Wolf could sell 2M form the Latin territories alone.
2. If the label pushed though with the original date as planned, She Wolf would have been dead by now.
The only positive thing I'm seeing right now is the Christmas boost She Wolf can ride along with the big players.
