they're fairly low maintenance. they are very independent and are generally ok with being by themselves. however they can be affectionate once they get to know you and it's very rewarding. we got our cats from a shelter and they cost around 100 dollars each, but they were kittens and the younger they are the more they cost, and the older they are the less they cost because people are less likely to adopt older animals
