I mean, I guess. But people can quote you X amount of times in a thread (as long as it isn't closed) to laugh at you and that member can do jackshit. He/she can't forbid you from quoting or say "don't quote me or I'm going to tell the mods on you!!!" in a thread. Not quite sure how having the quote in a signature is different. But I'm ready to be clocked, as there is almost always a reason for everything.
This is so true Mess @ the quote in PhreshDiamond's sig though, what a mess
Yeah just got a wall message from a mod about my sig, saying to remove their name Lets hope these boys and girls never have to go in the real world, if they get upset over a quote in a sig
edit: ok so apparently your not even allow to have the quote anonymously
I'm sorry but that's WAY too over the top. I don't even know how someone can get bothered over something they wrote but whatever.
yeah I later found out that it is this, but still ridiculous in my opinion, they shouldn't be posting stuff in a public forum, if they are that bothered about what they are saying appearing in a sig.
So the rule about not being able to have someone ATRL name in your sig without their permission is probably the most ludicrous rule on this forum
If it's straight copy and paste, I don't think it should be a problem. The problem should only arise when someone tries to change what someone said to make them look bad or if someone is trying to attack someone through their sig.
I think so. Someone posted mess on my wall before and the mods told me that they don't report stuff like that. As long as it's not a personal attack I think it's allowed.
how often do people get warned for wall posts? is it common? do the same rules apply to threads as walls do?
We don't hold it to all the same standards, but if go to someone's wall just to post a personal attack, you will get warned. There needs to be a modicum of decency.
