Ewan McGregor says he would have happily appeared in the new Star Wars film, but was never asked.

The actor claimed he was ready to take on the role of Obi Wan Kenobi in the JJ Abrams reboot, starting with The Force Awakens, due to hit cinemas at Christmas.

'They didn't ask me to do anything in it,' he told NYLON Guys Magazine.

20 years later, the much more grounded McGregor shouldn't be too upset at his Star Wars snub: his Colin Farrell also told Nylon Guys Magazine his Cassandra's dream co-star has a very impressive 'lightsaber'.

'I don’t think Ewan is as proud of his penis as most men who are as well hung would—or should—or could be. I think that’s the greatest demonstration of his innate humility, that he doesn’t wear it like a badge of honor.'
