Is this serious? I know here where I live we had to change the ba ba black sheep nursery song to ba ba multi coloured sheep thankfully that was wayyy after I left school..
Probably coincidental and unfortunate. No marketing team would be stupid enough to out themselves like this and blatantly disrespect a large portion of their customer base.
I don't really like Forever 21 anyway. Their mens section is quite basic and Primark is a much cheaper and nicer dirt cheap clothing brand for broke b****es.

This happened where I'm from too dddd . People were also told to stop using the word "Blackboard" in schools as it was politically incorrect .

That is too much All the universities here have an online system called "Blackboard" where you access all your grades and notes, never have I thought it could be something offensive to someone
Basically what i gathered. If you can't see what's wrong, I'll keep you in my prayers. It's one thing to not know about blackoutday but it's another to know and still think F21 didn't do something tacky with their advertisement timing and presentation.
With that said, the OP is overdramatic. One or five people is not "controversy". It's just a complaint. No one is planning to stop shopping at F21 because of this or protesting it so there's no "controversy". ATRL once again trying to get SJWs dragged because they're bored. Messy.
the tweet literally said she would never shop there again so

Reminds me of when "people" were offended in Pokemon when the trainer would "black out" so for a few generations after they changed it to "whited out"
It's not really a day anymore as much as it is an recurring thing
Well then the girl in the op is doing a bit too much. It was probably a coincidence. It's not like they did it on the official blackout day. And I don't even think it was that viral Monday.
