I mean I understand this because we're a high risk group, but we're not the ONLY risk group. And yet the gay community is the only one singled out. And a significant portion of people just lie and donate anyways, so how useful is it even to have a discriminatory law?

I know many sexually active gays who donate blood and sell plasma. They test you for hiv and if you come back with even a false positive you're banned for life from donating.
