Ah. Welcome to ATRL's newest slasher, revamped and improved. PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SIGNING UP. Before I open sign ups I want to give a special thanks to my cohost 113th Post! (click the picture to go to his profile)
Without him this game update will be going at a much slower rate as I'm on mobile. The story and all updates will be written by me, and a special thanks to Era for the amazing graphics. Seriously he's so good I can't even imagine how I can do this without him. Now let's get started
 The Briefing
It is the year 2050 in Koriyama, Japan. You are part of a team of Special Ops sent from the US to investigate a string of murders in Koriyama's most dangerous district. Japan's Prime Minister has provided you the details of the crimes and have asked you to help as you're team is known as the most efficient in the world.
You're given a case file with your role and your team's roles as well as other pertinent information. Throughout the last 5 years, the Yakuza has officially taken over Koriyama! Rape, murder, robbery, and arson are among the various crimes committed by the most famous Yakuza clan in all of Japan, the Yamaguchi-gumi clan.
The case file below explains the roles of your team and the roles of the Yamaguchi-Gumi. On behalf of the Prime Minister, I wish you the best in taking down the enemy. 頑張って (Good luck!)
Roles
Good
医者 [Isha] (Doctor): You are the most renowned physician in America today and have pioneered many medical breakthroughs. If a Yakuza member kills the person the doctor chooses, the doctor heals the person and saves them from death. Can save themselves first night but must save others every subsequent night
警察 [Keisatsu] (Cop): The weapons specialist of the team, you know how to aim down targets more than a mile away. Unfortunately, at night Koriyama is known to be very foggy. If any evil person comes by, the cop shoots and kills on sight. Cannot kill the Godfather and kills members in ranking order (Child, Framer, then Vengeful)
精神 [Seishin] (Spirit): Known for your connection to the spirits, you are lucky that Koriyama is a very powerful place spiritually. Your college courses in Shintoism will do you well. Once a night this person can find out the role of one member whether he or she is good or evil.
レポーター [Repoutaa] (Tabloid Reporter): Very annoying and nosy, you can get the details out of anything so that's why you were chosen. Gets the transcripts of the Yakuza members once per night. What you do with it is up to you!
自警団員 [Jikeidan'in] (Vigilante): You're concerned citizens who work closely with the Special Ops to help take back your city from these thugs! You don't have any special powers but your power relies in sheer numbers. There will be many of you, take advantage of this.
BAD
組長 [Kumichou] (Godfather): The most powerful man in Koriyama today and a huge pain in the a** to the Prime Minister. He's the one everyone fears and is the one everyone is after. He's so good at deceiving that he shows up as good to the spirit. He also cannot be killed at night by the cop so he must be voted off. Finally, if voted off he may convert one good team member to evil. Maybe this is why the Yamaguchi-gumi numbers only grow. Only applies to normal team members. Newly converted Yakuza member has no special powers
復習 [Fukushuu] (Vengeful Yakuza): The official wingman of the Godfather, you don't take him down easily.This member can choose one person to bring with him to the graveyard if voted off by the public . If killed by the cop he dies alone.
似非者 [Ese-Sha] (Framer): Apart from the Godfather this may be the scariest Yakuza member to go up against! Chooses one target a night . If the spirit chooses that person to find their role they will come up as evil. So just to be safe it may be a good idea to check twice !
若中 [Wakachuu] (Child Yakuza): Unlike your cute brethren you're just normal members. You are still apart of the clan but you're just new recruits. Maybe you'll graduate up one day. There are 2 of you!

Now that you know what you are fighting against, we wish you the best in your mission against the Yakuza. Should you win, the Government will pay you handsomely and you will never have to work again for the rest of your life. If you lose then there is no hope and Japan will cease to exist. Additional Tips & Warnings
This is the second part of the instructions. Read carefully
1) Do not, under any circumstances, sign up if you are going to be inactive: I was close to putting a post cap in this thread (for example you would have had to post 5 times before the first session started or you would've been automatically eliminated). I chose not to because I know people do have lives outside of atrl, like me. However what kills games like this the most is inactivity. There is limited space for sign ups so if you take a spot from someone else only to not play you ruin the game for the players in the game as well as spectators. Please post in this thread at least once a day, every single one of you. There may be reprocussions for inactive players, such as being barred from any future games I personally host.
2) The role selection process will be random: It also may come out through a span of a few days, depending on the activity of the chosen members. Please be patient because I will be trying something new to discourage cheating. All will be explained better after roles are handed out.
3) If you have a special role, be sure to dedicate a little bit of time to making good use of it: What I mean is that you may have to dedicate more than one post per day because players will be looking to you for advice and help. If you do not think you can be here for more than one post per day, please do not accept the role if given the opportunity. Just politely decline.
4) Have fun, don't break friendships: Games like this are infamous for breaking friendships because it relies on trust and/or deception. Remember guys this is only a game. No need to take things so seriously. And most of all, have fun I worked so hard making this, 113th Post worked hard helping me update, and Era worked hard making the beautiful graphics. Don't ruin a good time
