The story line is soooo damm awful. The plot is basically a glorification of Stockholm Syndrome. Jessica must have some ****ed up concept of romanticism. Also I feel some faux lesbian vibes and that she's exploiting LGBT community since Let It Be Love to gain some recognition.
Also a golden rule of doing covers - if you're doing a cover of an old song either perform it better than the orginal (covers of old songs done by Mariah, Whitney or Celine) or add something special to the song from yourself (Britney's I Love Rock & Roll or My Prerogative)... Jessica's version is pointless, if I had to choose one version of Damm I Wish I Was Your Lover to listen to, I would choose the original one.
She hasn't done anything good since Candy (video was **** but the song was enjoyable)... I'm waiting for the album that I've waited 5 yrs for, if I feel disappointed, I'll drop my stan card.
