I think people here are too blinded by the Grammys and think it's easy to get an Oscar so if they like someone it's Unfair if they don't have one, a draggable offense.
Only 2 female performers per year get one. While, say, at this year's Grammys there were awards for Xtina, Gaga, Jess Glynne, St Vincent, Beyonce, Lalah Hathaway, Rihanna, Carrie, Miranda, Dianne Reeves, Erica Campbell, Rosanne Cash, Angélique Kidjo, Neela Vaswani, Joan Rivers, Jessie Mueller, Hilary Hahn, Anne Sofie von Otter, the 4 stars of 20 Feet From Stardom...
There were more female performers who won Grammys than there were who got Oscar noms.
Esp given that a number of these people only have 1 nom, it's not like they've had chances snatched away. At least they're in the running; zero East Asian actors have a lead nom, ever.
It's not a basic human right to have an Oscar.
