Discussion: Gays: Do you go to straight bars/clubs?

I am refusing to go with my straight friends to any more straight bars because they are so boring and pointless for a gay man to be at.

1. There's always covers and the men always pay the most.

2. I wait at the bar for eternity and buy my own drinks. ****ing EWW

3. Always ladies night but never hennies night.

Those are my main complaints but also there's never other gays there so what's the point? Just "going out to have funxD" like I'm P!nk or something? I am not going to force myself into these vile institutions anymore.

Yeah, I've been to straight bars/clubs. My local bar is straight, and I go to pubs too. Not as atmospheric but still.

Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I need to live, shop, work and party on Old Compton Street. I'm just an average guy.

Yes, a majority of my friends are straight but I do go to G-bar every Saturday.

Of course. Any bar can be fun if you're with the right people. That said, I don't relate to #2 at all. I always buy my own drinks, gay or a straight bar. Is it really that common to get free drinks at gay bars? I've never

Pubs and breweries are different. Those are fun and relaxed. Straight clubs and bars are inhospitable and vile.

Not all the time but it happens and with my hennies at the G-bar we'll get stuff for each other, too. It's just at straight bars the bartenders can TELL you're a henny and they give you **** service because you aren't going to be buying multiple drinks (i.e. for ladies). So you get ignored more

Um yeah they are 100x better and 95% of clubs are "straight" anyways. I'll only go to boys town like 2 times a year.
