Letoya Luckett has seen her ups and downs! From being signed to the biggest female group to hit the late '90s to getting dropped from the group to seeing her solo career rise and now, getting dropped from her label. When last we heard from Letoya, she was filming a video for her 3rd single 'Regret' co-starring ATL native Ludacris. According to Letoya's fansite:

Even though a video for 'Regret' is on the way, the real deal is that LeToya's label, Capitol Records, still refuses to support 'Lady Love'. If it was up to them, we wouldn't have a video or even a 3rd single. They reluctantly gave LeToya a video ONLY after fans and supporters signed multiple petitions and the song hit the Top 10 with ZERO promotion from them.

You know, if Capitol had actually promoted Lady Love, it wouldn't've flopped. I love how labels are quick to drop flop singers when they're the reason they flopped in the first place.

They aren't dropping her (already confirmed)....BUT they ARE dropping the ball on this project (no promotion, etc)....lol.

LeToyaOnline.com said that Capitol is refusing to pay for "Regret" to get added to certain radio formats. After SAG flopped (which was their fault, IMO)....they ceased all money for her project. Matta fact it NEVER got an add date for Urban/Rhythmic either....it just happened to take off on its own. Now its in the Top 5.

She didn't even get money to do promo tours for the album....an album THEY also benefit from, if its a succcess. Capitol is a trip.

BTW...."Regret" video will PREMIERE on 106 and Park TONIGHT.

But i love LeToya...

"Lady Love" is an amazingly great album. Her single choices are wrong, but I've loved the music since Day 1 of the album. Her singles should have went like this:

1. Lazy
2. Over
3. She Aint Got
4. Good To Me
5. Regret

SERIOUSLY? "Reget" took off on its own? That's an AMAZING accomplishment! The song ALWAYS had a very healthy bullet on Urban format!

Yep! Absolutely NO promo was done for this song....and since it entered Top 10 on Urban radio, they FINALLY agreed to give her a video.

Still to this day, there has not been an add date announced for "Regret".

I dont see why Letoya doesnt have a bigger hits. she makes great music and has a great voice.

That damn sophomore album was horrible!

That IS amazing--it's clear that she has a very devoted urban fanbase. IF this album was promoted, it could've at least gone Gold.
