Do white gay men face a bad stigma because of bigots?
Racism and sexism are two of the worlds biggest problems. After reading a lot of what people have to say about white privilege, racism across all boards and misogyny in the gay community, is there a stigma that white gay men should feel ashamed of themselves for?

White people maybe be taunted at and ridiculed in media, but outside the Internet, no one gives a crap about that and white people are living lavish lives, having been born with a nice home inherited from their ancestors and sh*t

Not all white people are rich, not all black people are poor.
No, they face it because some of them (not all) are uneducated and ignorant of other people's issues, and they only put themselves first.

As a white gay it's annoying to be generalized, but I only see that when I enter online threads about race on here, which is easily avoidable. I have nothing to complain about really.
In the real world I don't face any racial stigma in my opinion. I don't think about my race at all usually unless it's brought up which is typically only when I'm too white to do things like dance lmao. White people nowadays at least where I'm from make fun of their race. I don't even think about how my race plays a role in the gay world

I think the problem is that these issue are discussed but ignored by a lot the people who are accused. I think there should be a better way of talking about these things though. The whole " you are racist", "check your privalge", is a tad to aggressive.. It pretty much gives the other group a reason to feel oppressed and undermines the goal of awareness, aka this stigma for white gay men
100% yes. I was disgusted reading in another ATRL thread that people fighting racism are the same people making problematic generalisations such as "I have to think twice before getting with a white gay" or "White gays either discriminate [black people] or fetishise [black people], there's no in between"
How can you honestly try to fight generalisations and prejudice with more generalisations and prejudice?
It's like when women tear down a woman to praise another (the whole Kardashian/Diana thing). Just don't do it.

I think we are not really getting the point. I don't really think that talking about the gay issue as a race issue is helpful. We all have stigma because of our sexual orientation. All of us. Race doesn't really matter here. But yes, for black people it could even be harder because they got a second stigma due to their skin's colour! Fighting eachother over this sounds very stupid. We should stick together.

what the hell? so now you are comparing levels of shame? White gay men face a lot of hate as well just for being gay. do you think you are special because you are a black gay? we are all part of the LGBT and face discrimination for our sexuality.
