I hope this process you wrote down comes to fruition, share your thoughts with your family and maybe a really trusted friend and go do sessions. personally I wouldn't advise you asking for medication without at least a couple therapy sessions to see if you really need them or if therapy sessions could be enough.

keep repeating positive things to yourself on the daily, when you wake up, before you go to bed, when you get sad and anxious. the more you say it the more your mind will be conditioned to believe it. trust me
