Men in general tend to be a bit misogynistic, because they see themselves stronger, bigger and more powerful. The difference between straights and gays in this case is that straights are obviously attracted to them, which would obviously limit their misogyny. On the other hand, gay men are not attracted to women, therefore they feel okay to attack them.
