Three of the judges saying they relate to my song.
Hug's favorite part being the line about the rainbow bracelet, which I kept even though swiftie thought I should replace it. My harshest critic liking the line I almost didn't include.
And, yeah, kinda agree with Skill that I'm getting a bit tired conceptually. Fun fact: halfway through writing this week's song, I paused and started working on something else called "Broken Record".... precisely about the fact the tiredness of everyday, every thought, every song, everything being endlessly the same. But I decided to finish the song I submitted instead.
None of the judges commented on the transition in the chorus from "the boy I thought you wanted to see" to "not the man you think I am." That's the best part imo.
An additional layer for you: now that I'm done with school and back home, I have had to stop wearing my rainbow bracelet and it is now hidden in my closet.
The literal symbol of my gayness is hidden in the literal symbol of my closetedness.

It's the most wonderful time of the year... PH Results, of course! This week we asked you to reflect on your own self identity and paint us a picture of who you are. Many of you did well this week, but there can only be one winner (no ties!)
Congratulations to...
