Here are the 10 hit TV shows that no one saw coming:

“Empire”

“Empire” also made a bang in the music industry when its first official soundtrack debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart — surpassing Queen of Pop, Madonna, and her latest album, “Rebel Heart,” in March.

I haven't seen any of these shows, but Supergirl seems like it'd be cute, but I'm put off because it's on CBS and therefore is probably basic and cheesy.
