Poll: More Ludicrous: Bomb Agrabah or Repeal First Amendment

Both are notoriously stupid movements made by a minority of people on opposite ends of the spectrum (the right want to blow up Aladdin's hometown of Agrabah, radical Yale lefties want to repeal the first amendment so they can legally censor "offensive" comments and create a "safe space) Which notion do you find more ludicrous?

Agreed. It's actually quite easy to follow the ludicrous train of thought behind the Agrabah one. On the other hand, one could take centuries to figure out why Yale students would repeal the first amendment and still find no understandable answer

I could argue that by saying, without the first amendment, you couldn't make this post. And again, at least we can come up with an (admittedly idiotic) reason for Agrabah, no one seems to have one for Yale.

But yeah, both are insanity. Thus this being the comparison.

Thankfully, not even our worst candidate would be comparable to Hitler. Though maybe some people will lose their minds later on

At least the Yale students have a stance on something, something that EXISTS. They don't want to bomb something just because it "sounds Muslim"

I'd rather people do something to a fictional place than want to get rid of the first amendment. You know what mess that would occur if the gov't has more power? That's how dictatorship begins.

That's not the idea behind this. Obviously neither proposals are gonna happen, but this is a hypothetical match-up between xenophobes who would carpet bomb a place just for having a Muslin name and a group of college students who are against a certain amendment to their country's constitution.

I find the Yale one more atrocious because these are college students who should know better about something extremely tangible. These are the people who are going to run our nation in the future, not random republicans who probably aren't as educated or fall into the media trap created in this society.

It's deceiving to begin with by asking questions about a fictional place in the context of a political question. But we all know what the first amendment is.

*an amendment that's completely and totally vital to preventing any chance of a suppressive dictatorship. Whether that's the intent or not, take away the first amendment and the ultimate effect will be massive suppression of basic human rights
