A gang is mugging gay men at knife-point after arranging to meet them on Grindr in south London. Two separate attacks, which both have happened in the last 48 hours, saw victims arrive at an arranged meeting place only to be jumped by a group of four male thugs.
Neither of the two victims were physically hurt but were left ‘very shaken’.
Detective constable Sheree Yates said: ‘The victims thankfully did not suffer serious physical injuries but have been left very shaken by these incidents.
‘We are keen to identify the suspects as soon as possible and are appealing to anyone with any information to contact the police.
Absolutely despicable. To think human beings can treat others this way.
I hope the victims learn something from this though. Of course it wasn't their fault but they obviously arranged to meet a complete stranger in a quiet area with no one around, and this time it wasn't the hook-up they were thinking, but four (probably armed) people.
