Because she is an Urban/Rap Female wtf. And her first pop single was Superbass so Pink Friday is automatically out of contention. And when she was doing Pop she had Rap songs out as well and those obviously sell a bit less than the top Pop hits.
Not only that, what female has had the impact, sales, and success as her in the last 6 years? She is doing just fine.

In my opinion, she owned 2011. Super Bass, David Guetta song, etc. but even if she didn't the excuses are the music just isn't up to par with others according to the GP, simple as that
Um if I was a female rapper I'd rather have Nicki's career than literally any other female rapper's out there. She's been at it for years and is still relevant.
