...because some think it's easier coming out as bi makes it harder for people that are actually bisexual? Bisexual people are not really taken seriously by society, some don't even consider a "thing" and we are often claimed to be confused perveted cheaters ****s that are only in for sex.
But my main point here is: When someone that knows that they are gay and only came out as Bisexual because they think society will not judge them as hard they would with a homosexual person, and then, after some time passes they start claiming that they are "just gay" and that they were "confused" that time when they came out as Bisexual - which reinforces the myth that bisexuality is just a phase for everyone - this makes a lot harder for bisexuality to be taken serious by people and makes a lot harder for someone that is actually Bisexual to come out.
Bitch HOW it does not matter? How would you fell if someone claimed that something that you are is simply not "real", "just a phase :]" because there are some people out there using it as a scapegoat to make things "easier" for them while making harder for others that actually are? Fun fact if you are not straight, you are not considered "normal" by society either.
ummm yes? considering it causes a lot of suffering to the bisexual community because it reinforces the idea that bisexuality doesn't actually exist. but you know who cares about the bisexuals right
It seems stupid to me. Like if you tell a bunch of people you're bi, it must be awkward to show up 2 months later and be like "Jk, guys, I only like the ****." Like, whet?
I did that too OP. People in general knows what bisexuality is and the stereotypes/taboos associated with homosexuality greatly outweighs whatever bisexuals face. Bisexuals don't face that same backlash as gays tbh. They're on a middle ground whereas gays are drowning in a pool of bigotry and closed mindness people.

if a bisexual person is in a same sex relationship they face exactly the same hardships as any gay person so
Nothing wrong with it. Coming out is an extremely terrifying thing and you never know how you'll be received. Bisexuality is seen as way less "immoral" than full on homosexuality so coming out as Bi is just to test the waters. I realize it hurts the Bi community but there's nothing we can do about that.
By doing that you are making bisexuality being taken even less serious by people...
To make myself clear, every person in the LGBT+ community(that is still in the closet) is different. Some closets have different ways of coming out, and transitioning from bisexuality to fully accepting homosexuality is one of them. No closet has bad intentions of making bisexuality being taken as a joke like you say. The fact that bisexuality is a term in LGBT means that a majority of people in the world takes the term seriously. You have to understand some people are going through hell trying to come out, so if it has to result in transitions here and there, then so be it.
