This Old Navy commercial-sounding song is so fun and cheerful, usually songs like this are boring or overly redone. But instead this song manages to feel fresh and fun at the same time. Topped off with an aesthetically pleasing music video and we get one of the most fun songs of the year.

Troye Sivan

This spooky song comes to us from newcomer Troye Sivan. While personally I think this is one of the biggest standouts of the album. I think the most major highlight of this song is the delivery of the lyric "but please don't bite" followed with an intense drop of tempo.

This song reminds me a lot of the music of MGMT, which I used to be a fan of. The sweet savory vocals of the lead singer serves us one of the best alternative rock songs that we've gotten in a long, long, long time. This psychedelic and sexy song is destined to be a magnet for all pretty girls who smoke weed!

Madonna

This low-tempo from Madonna brings probably one of her best ballad-singles in a long while. I will admit, I am not as big of a fan as most people are of this song. But it's still really good and deserved to perform a lot better on the charts. The production of the chorus is very cinematic and emotional which I always give props to. I think lyrically the song is really powerful as well.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick in this song really gives a 90s hip-hop vibe with this chill song. Kendrick's attitude is always prominent, but in this song it really shines. He proves that he truly is raps new messiah, and top it off with a educational lesson on rap/black culture in general and we get one of the most chillax yet most educational songs of the year.

Hyuna

This fun K-Pop/Dance single by Hyuna is one of the best K-Pop singles we managed to get this year. Serving an addictive chorus along with a great rent-a-rapper that gives us guest vocals on the track. Even though I have no idea what she is saying, I can't help but sing along! The few English lyrics that she exclaims "You can touch me, don't touch me" make this song one of the most fun workout songs of the year.

Ivy Levan

This fun Jazz/Pop song that has many hip-hop influences at first listen can sound confused but it later develops itself into a really solid and fun song. The guest rap-verse by Cadre is really much-needed and helps the song. Ivy's always powerful vocals, I hope she realizes matches these fun upbeat songs rather than her usual slow jazz music.

Little Boots

This track by Little Boots is out of her comfort zone, but still manages to not sound "sellout" and holds itself together well. Her hypnotic voice with the groovy chorus and production work so well together. The song reminds me a bit of "Peaches" but without the vulgarity. The direction Little Boots went with on her most recent album 'Working Girl' was a bit different than this song, but it's still a solid lead single to represent it.

Little Mix

This (surprisingly) naughty song by Little Mix is rumored to be the originally-written Pretty Girls by Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea. While it may not be better, it still is a really solid song and probably one of Little Mix best songs. The Invisible Men/DJ Mustard-like production really carries the song and the song really reminds me a lot of Fifth Harmony's hit "Worth It" I think if Little Mix was to release this song they'd get their very own "Worth It" sized hit.

Bonnie McKee

This pop song with lots of similarities to classic rock by Bonnie McKee is for sure one of the best releases of the year. Clearly inspired by the likes of Heart, Pat Benetar, etc, the song really carries itself with the use of electric guitars and her 70s-like vocals. It's almost like it creates an illustration of McKee caressing the microphone with her voice. The almost bitchy-like vocal abilities really creates the sexy mood while still remaining classic rock n' roll.

NERVO's album this year was sort of a disappointed, I won't lie especially as they are probably the biggest female DJs in the game right now. But this song is a really cute bop and collaboration of some of my favorite artists. I am a huge fan of DEV and Kreayshawn so it was great to see them collaborate.
