I'm old enough to remember that day. It was huge news then and it's still huge news now. Definitely a moment you had to be there for or see.

How can the U.S. even conmemorate such event when they're still building another one in their southern border? I cannot take such hypocrisy. Really.

on topic, i just finished watching the history channel documentary on the berlin wall.... AMAZING story of triumph, those people found every way possible to make it over the wall!

With that out of the way; I learned about the Cold War & Berlin War during a self-imposed "learn every thing I can" month in January and found the "war" label to be interesting considering nothing really ever escalated to that point, and there was just an underlying disdain coming from both sides. Besides that, I kinda forgot everything else. *goes back to study*
