They only use 1989 because Taylor is the only other big artist right now. There's literally no one else to compare. Adele outsold everyone else in the space of a few days. Probably outsold ARTPOP in 2 hours

1989 outsold BEYONCÉ, PRISM, ARTPOP, Unapologetic, etc. by far.

The 1989 tour also outgrossed EVERY tour by any of those girls.

And Adele did the same with Gaga so what are you saying?

The Lord is dumb for not milking the 1989 tour. She should have added more dates so she could have the 3rd highest grossing female tour of all time.

Anti is shaping up to be bigger than 1989. FFS was bigger than SIO (and any Taylor song WW), and BBHMM was bigger than BB on urban radios (both rap songs so that format is the main one).
