I'm too lazy to look if someone already mentioned it, but Lilting is a very good movie. It's kinda sad but it's also kind of a feel-good movie. I really enjoyed it. It's on Netflix, by the way
Tangerine is another recommendation, its a film focused around LA transgender prostitutes and opens a new realm to the often glamorized city. Surprisingly the film was also entirely shot with an Iphone

Shelter
Weekend
Beyond the Walls (this one is so sad )
And there are, of course, the Almodóvar movies. If you have never seen any of his movies be advised: they are... hm... different... Watch these two:
The Skin I Live In
Bad Education
I watched Gerantophilia the other day and I was expecting to skip through it but it turned out great. It is about a guy who is attracted to older men.
Beyond the walls is great too and realistic
I know of a movie but I can't remember it, I know it starts with a P, and ends with a b. It's at the tip of my tongue but I can't remember it. I watched this movie maybe 10 years ago?
