First of all, I would like to say sorry if most of my choices are what ATRL considers "basic" or "too mainstream." For most of 2015, I had been very busy with multiple jobs and raising my child so I didn't have a lot of time to do what I always loved: discovering new music. Most of the songs on here are pretty popular but this is my countdown so whatever. I love these songs and that's why they made my list.
Bitch Better Have My Money: It sounds dumb and basic and Rihanna-what-the-****-is-this-mess at first listen and just like BRAAP! BRAAP! BRAAP!, it grows on you like fungi! I made this popular with my friends too. For like a week, they would all yell "Bitch better have my money!" whenever I walk into a room and then they'd do the makin-it-rain action. I felt like a high-class stripper tbh.
Black Magic: The second most perfect pop song I've heard all year! (Yall know what's first!) I sure wish they gave this to Britney instead of Average-Looking Hags.
Butterfly: Art Angels sure has a lot of bops but this is my favorite one. It starts out sounding like a chill-by-the-beach jam and then turns into a cute sexy bop that I could see Britney recording. This is definitely one of Grimes' happiest tracks
Camouflage: If you had told me I'd fall in love with a Selena ballad one year ago, I would have let out a loud ass snort. But this song is just pure magic. From her enchanting vocals to the lyrics that seem to speak to me directly, this became one of my favorite Selena songs ever in just two months.
Colors: Despite her disposable personality (or act), this girl has some bops. This is one of them. Even though it sounds like a mash-up of Red and Style both by Ms. Taylor Swift, this manages to be a captivating ear-candy on its own. And even though its lyrics are too LDR for its own good, it is quite memorable especially the spoken bridge which is sooo Tumblr but like good Tumblr. Leave it to Halsey to be dragged and praised by me at the same time!
Goodbye: Back when he was a faceless singer, this was my jam. The music videos were intriguing and I thought he was one of the three characters in them. I genuinely thought this would be a big hit and I am really baffled why it didn't become one.
High By the Beach: After the disaster that is Honeymoon (the song), I was ECSTATIC to finally be BOPPING to some Lana Del Rey! It has the perfect mix of ****tiness and depression and it makes you wanna dance with a bored look on your face. I especially love the heartstopping bridge which gives a nod to an older Lana track, Little Girls.
Lean On: Every year, there is that one song that almost everyone absolutely loves. This is it for 2015. No wonder it's the most streamed song on Spotify, you just can't help but jam along to it!
Shine: Years & Years is one of my favorite artists of 2015. I already liked them with Desire, Real, and Take Shelter but when they started putting out masterpiece after masterpiece after masterpiece, it's game over for my musical boner. This song gave me my third orgasm right after the chart-topping King and promo single Worship which you will both see later in the countdown.
Style: My ex's favorite song. That lame ass Taylor Swift fan. It became my favorite song too. And I really loved the music video compared to like 95% of ATRL's population. My ex hated it though 'cause he thought it was too trippy and promotes smoking weed. Pffft. Lame ass.
Take Ü There: Jack Ü's first single! Too bad it didn't take off. Their productions are really unique (or I just don't know a lot of EDM).
Where Are Ü Now: Oh look! Another Jack Ü song! Justin's voice is celestial on this one and it has one of my most favorite breakdowns EVER! Diplo and Skrillex their power!
WILD: He had awesome stuff on his TRXYE EP but this is some next-level ****. The best way to describe this song is that it's the male version of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. It reeks of youth and infatuation and freedom. Too bad it wasn't as successful.
Work Song: This should have been Hozier's second hit! I love how simple yet enticing the melody is and how calm yet thrilling the chorus is.
Worship: Second of three orgasms. Clean Bandit's Neil Amin-Smith must have really good D for Olly to produce this sexy, mystical track. Too bad they broke up
Trimming down to thirty songs is unbelievably tough! Here are some songs that didn't make the songs-that-didn't-make-it list that I absolutely love:
Omen, Catch, Love Yourself, What Do You Mean?, Kill V. Maim, Number One, Warm Blood & Know Yourself
15 Songs That Didn't Make the Flop 15 + #15 Fail and Win Songs TOMORROW!
P.S. This is my 25,000th post!

Excited for your full list to start! Worship is actually one of my favorites from Years & Years. Butterfly, Lean On, Style, Work Song, and the Jack U songs I really enjoy too. Wild is alright as well!
