I'm wondering if anyone on ATRL is a mature student and is in university/college, I'm 21 but I'm going to be taking a gap year after I finish my studies at my local F.E. college, I'm thinking of going to university in 2017 rather than 2016 as I'm not ready for it and I cannot get up and down to it easily due to me not having a car and very poor eyesight, if anyone has no car, how do you cope with getting up and down to uni?

what do you mean up and down to uni?

Maybe try staying at a dorm inside the uni?

I mean if I wanted to come home to my family say for example for Christmas, I couldn't as I'd have no way of getting down.

don't you have like, buses or trains or anything? Are you studying in Ireland?

I'm studying in Northern Ireland but the buses and trains I can get as I live in a major town and they don't go directly to the university, it will take at least 2-3 hours to get to the uni if I did decide to take multiple buses to the university.

I'm 27 years old and in college. I live two train stations away from the school cause the rent is cheaper.

Make ends meet sweety. Deferring your degree is like the worst decision a student could make. Trust me just get it over with.

It takes an hour or so to get to my school by bus. 10-15 mins by car. I'm 22 & can't drive for ****.
