When word spreads re: Daisy/Rey, it'll spread to women (and gays by association). Parents will want to take their daughters as they have a heroine to look up to now with a story that isn't completely horrific (Hunger Games).

You wouldn't think women would be into Avatar either.

All those Spotify playlists kind of got me interested in some of the characters/story though so idk.

Much of the praise in the reviews has been on the new cast and how believable and REAL they feel.

Sure, it's going to be a retread of A New Hope in a lot of ways, but I do suspect that it's likely NOT hollow due to the strong critical acclaim.

It must be so exciting to be Daisy Ridley. Headlining the most anticipated movie of the past fifteen years without a single movie to your name to be the most praised and acclaimed part of the movie. I'd be crying.
