The music industry has had a historic 12 months as the streaming wars heated up and album sales reached record-breaking highs thanks to Adele after years of diminishing returns. As the business itself faced incredible changes, breaking artists and veteran musicians alike experimented with their sounds, doing everything from throwing back to the Seventies to getting everyone to cha-cha. As 2015 comes to an end, we asked our readers to vote for their favorite songs of the year. Here are the results.
1 Madonna, "Ghosttown'
2 Adam Lambert, "Ghost Town"
3 Adele, "Hello"
4 Ghost, "He Is"
5 Courtney Barnett, "Pedestrian at Best"
6 Cold War Kids, "First"
7 Tame Impala, "Let It Happen"
8 Built to Spill, "When I'm Blind"
9 Alabama Shakes, "Don't Wanna Fight"
10 Drake, "Hotline Bling"
I like Ghosttown. A lot. Don't know if it's the best song of 2015, but oh well. The list is so.... Messy. Ghost town doesn't belong, especially not right under Ghosttown
Billboard's end of year lists are always trash. I have nothing against Madonna, but seriously? Ghosttown is garbage
ghosttown is a beautiful song. just because it wasn't in the top 10 on billboard it doesn't mean that it's trash. she got praised for this song alone in the rebel heart reviews.
You all do realize this list was determined by their reader's votes, right?
yes, so? people have voted. just like they vote for mtv awards or other award shows today. if this was any other song by another artist there would be threads about it too. or is madonna not worthy of a thread?
