The male winners and their winning singles tend to sell well because of their HAC/adult appeal. James Arthur and Ben Haenow had winners singles with a lot of airplay on Heart Radio but neither had successful singles afterwards.
Little Mix had a relatively poorly received winners single but a far more successful career. I mean, no one even remembers Little Mix's winning single but it doesn't matter and it hasn't affected them. Louisa will be the same, I'm sure.
It really isn't surprising. She's missing three days of sales, this was the least viewed XF finale ever, plus streaming isn't gonna be on her side and the song itself is awful. Let's wait till she releases her debut single; the fact that this even managed to hit #1 on iTunes is a big feat.
I didn't expect it to be #1 anyway because of the show's low ratings and everything but Jesus.
I guess streaming being a factor now isn't good for an X Factor Winner's single but even considering that I'd expect a top 3 from the strength of sales.
I'm so sad. This is tragic. She is going to get torn to shreds in the media and Simon probably won't give two ***** about her or her album campaign now.
People acting like this winner's single actually matters. Those of you have followed all the female winners(including Little Mix) should be aware that syco go all out for their artists' debut. Even Ella who didn't end up winning had a massive push.
I think these 'her career is over' claims are a bit too dramatic. She'll do brilliantly with the right material
