Which kind of novel do you prefer?

I love realistic fiction and I don't care for fantasy.

It's weird, because when it comes to movies and games, I'm all for fantasy. However, if I'm going to invest myself in a book/book series, or in a tv show, I'd much rather watch or read realistic fiction.

I enjoy both quite a bit but Fantasy just a tiny bit more if done well. I really don't determine what to read based on genre though, mainly the plot, if the author is any good and maybe reviews as well.

Realistic ones are better because less difficult to do.

Realistic fiction is fiction set in the real world. So kind of.

Not like dragons and made up lands and all that.

Whichever has the most smut

But most fantasy movies/shows these days are based off books and are far more detailed in writing which is why I always try to read the book first if I wanna watch it's movie/show. (Except maybe GoT cause I couldn't wait and it's a lot of novels to catch up on...)

Yeah, but most fantasy books are so campy imo, especially the ones made into movies. When I say I watch fantasy movies, it's mainly like sci-fi.
