Honestly, he's just part of the problem. The much bigger issue is why YouTube still allows his channel to earn money even though he's violated a ton of their content rules. If they just removed monetization from his channel, he'd probably just stop making videos without trying to extort people.
As awful of a person as he is, you almost can't blame him for doing something like this. YouTube needs to be the one to take a stance here.
