I disagree. People with whom the "meninist" movement resonates with will find nothing wrong with that man's views. All that doc does is give people like him a platform.
It's on BBC 3, not really prime time TV. I'm watching it right now and the interviewer is horrified at some of the stuff that's being said. he's trying to find out why men have these views and he's dragging a lot of them
that video is so ****ing nasty but what makes me is the fact that all the men had their faces blurred out. like, they're such cowards that they can't even publicly admit their sexist, homophobic ********! charli is so right
First and foremost, I definitely think that guy is a sexist and homophobe. And based on what I saw in the clip, I think the guy running the documentary agrees. I could be 100% wrong, but I thought he looked VERY uncomfortable, which gives me the impression this guy won't be receiving a positive edit in said documentary. So I'm probably a little less pissed than her.
That said, I completely understand where she's coming from, and, if she's right and I'm wrong, I do agree with her. I certainly think this guy has the right to voice his PoV and that the channel has the right to air a documentary supporting said PoV. That goes both ways. We have the right to call out both the guy AND the channel. There's nothing wrong with saying "Hey, it's bullsh** that you're airing a documentary promoting sexist,
homophobic, hateful thinking while shafting ones that are promoting positivity and equality!" and it's a notion I can completely and totally get 100% behind. Though as said, I'm not fully convinced this is going to be the case in this scenario, but I could be wrong. And if I am, well, lemme just have Charlize XCX be my spokesperson because the good sis has it right

I noticed that too. It says a lot when you know you're sexist (I'll be generous on homophobic since this thing wasn't about homosexuality, but it WAS about misogyny/sexism, so) and you blur yourself out but continue to back it
