A video clip circulated on social media showed how a man stood up during the meeting held on the sideline of the book fair held in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to protest against allowing Ashjan Al Hindi, a Saudi poet, to recite a poem in the hall.
He argued that no woman should be allowed to speak out and address the men who were sitting in the hall.
The second man stood up as Ashjan started to recite the poem and started arguing. As an officer approached him, he sought the support the audience and asked them: “Are you satisfied with what is happening?”
To his shock, the answer from the audience was a “Yes, we are satisfied.”
Requested by a security officer to leave, the man walked out of the hall.
There is some Kuwaiti fashion blogger who is visiting Saudi Arabia and she captured a lot of things that shows that women are actually getting their rights but they just don't have the confidence do what they want because they fear what will the General Population of that country will say about them, Will they ever accept what she's doing or not.
