To the kids: Y'all got chiquis

when we had Jennifer Peña (aka Selena's successor, music genre equivalent to Taylor Swift before Taylor Swift) and Alicia V during her prime. The good sis Jenni Rivera wasn't in the picture when those two slayed regional Mexican music for the girls; that genre is a god damn mess now (guys and girls). And Jenni was the last reigning queen

Romeo, Marc, Prince Royce (his bachata - he can keep his English ****), Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes, Pepe Aguilar, Calle 13 and Pablo Alboran are probably the only ones I check for now. Alejandro made me proud when he got Xtina for that holy collab (Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti), Mana and Shakira let me down with their meh collab. All of my pop girls are past their prime and have left me kind of disappointed with their latest projects. Paulina's last song I bopped to was "Boys Will Be Boys" and Thalia lord knows when I last checked for her. But if Amore Mio is good I'll check it out.
Pinche belinda has talent too but god damn her diva attitude is getting the best of her. Laura Pausini has been boring for the last few years, nothing like her 2000s eras. If Amaya from La Oreja wasn't a bitch and broke up the group, they probably could have delivered us a few more good albums. I'm waiting for Jen Carlos Canela to drop his next album too.
