Rio de Janeiro doesn't have skyscrapers either. It's not a big deal.
EDIT: But wait, Europe have skyscrapers. Not as much as american cities or chinese and japanese cities, but they do have. Just look at London, Vienna, Moscow and many other cities
The reason is most cities forbid them to not ruin the historic look, they can only be built far away from historic centres... People in Europe think skyscrapers are ugly and I have to agree, other continents have little history so they have to rely on them but Europe has better things
the OP doesn't live in the richest country in the world historically speaking like we do I wish they'd respected the "no ****** buildings in city centers" rule in Milan and Athens tho
There are plenty of European cities with business districs full of skyscrapers though? They're just far away from the centre cause they're really old, full of history, culture and monumental buildings
Things american cities don't have, so they might as well plant ugly ass flats in them
I can't at how obnoxious the US members get when in threads about geography I never see any other nationalities doing it. But anyway, I tend to like a mixture of historical architecture and uber-modern skyscrapers tbh.
It's like they forget that Europe made America. Ungrateful!
