He was talking about the events prior to him returning from the cult he was in, telling those that were refraining from the group that he had asked for help, not to God or anyone else, and someone came to him and saved him and the baby he was with, from helplessness (he was raped by one of the cult leaders, who was brought into the group by his mother and was therefore raped by an act of revenge / a message of some sort). Blah, blah, blah, ended up with him standing up to the group and asking for a hug. Episode ended after that.
If someone asked me what this show is about, I couldn't even tell them. All I know is that people disappeared, there's a cult that thinks the world ended, and there's multiple stories entwined and each episode reveals a part of the puzzle. It's so confusing, but I think I know what's happening.
