First, we hate on Taylor because she is seemingly "friends with everyone" and now we hate on her because her group of friends is "strictly exclusive."

She's a famous person with a group of famous friends. None of us will ever be in the "squad" anyway. Can no one be in a friend group now?

I f-ing hate the "squad" trend. I instantly think a lot less of anyone who uses it.

It's not Taylor's fault. The media forced that term on her and her friends. I'm not blaming Taylor.

But I despise the idea of "squads." It's essentially the cliques in school. Did the world learn NOTHING from Mean Girls?

Does she expect Taylor's friend group to have a diversity quota? Little girl, Taylor's 'squad' is made up of tall, thin, pretty, rich white women because Taylor herself is a pretty, tall, thin, rich white woman. People usually group with others who are like them, you see it across most social circles. I'm willing to bet most of this girl's friends are also young, well off, pretty, thin, white girls. Taylor's frienship circle is not subject to third wave feminists' agenda.

Taylor's squad is so calculated and not genuine at all. It's merely reactionary to all the criticism she got for being boy obsessed. It's all for show and I bet she'll dump them in her next era.
