I don't disagree with your last statement but you might not have made the first statement but someone else has. This has been statement multiple times over the months even if they were exaggerating.
I wouldn't argue that it wasn't far more common because duh it obviously was.
Don't try and backend your argument into something else although it took you long enough to respond still with a weak argument that wasn't even an argument to begin with.
No one said it is easier and more common now to go diamond.
I'm saying not to discredit Britney's peak in sales of 14x platinum and 10x platinum because more people were not even getting half of that than were and your top 10 year end stats which didn't even show all of the top 10 getting 10x platinum and above only proves that it wasn't an easy feat even at the sales climate which makes it impressive for those that did.
