How does she think anybody has her number to call her and offer her the prestigious honour of leading a major movie franchise's soundtrack, like James Bond when she's got the album sales of an indie artist? This truly boggles the mind.

Why were they this RUDE? smh, if Disney called her to do the Maleficent OST I can't see why anyone wouldn't call her. And she's pretty well known in the industry, the nerve.

Well, she sang at Kim and Kanye's wedding, was offered personally. Angelina Jolie also wanted Lana Del Rey personally to sing Once Upon a Dream for Maleficent, so...

She's done a bunch of high profile soundtracks (Maleficent and Gatsby say hi) WHY would they choose her when they could go with a fresh name that's essentially currently (At the time of the release) a bigger (name) than her????

I love her but the fact she showed no growth or change between Ultraviolence (an amazing album) and Honeymoon (meh) is a disappointment. (and stans, let's not - you're too biased and delusional to admit it. Obviously Honeymoon has some great songs but it's not her best work.)

Mm, Honeymoon wasn't bad, but it was too safe of a record and she didn't do much promotion, so it's understandable that she was overlooked. She can do something about that if she wants to.

Let me answer this for you: NO.

On top of that: you don't make your best with the next. Inbetween there will always be an album that is weaker than the previous (not to everybody, though).

If what you say was right, Madonna should have never done the Bond Soundtrack to begin with.
