"At some point we've gotta start supporting each other. Every other category of music supports each other," R Kelly says.
"That's why you've got these big time pop artists, because they support each other. They go out and buy each other's music. They support each other's career, they believe in each other's career.
"The majority of my music is sold to my people. The black culture. We have to support each other."
R Kelly rounds off with the claim: "I'm the last of the Mohicans here that's trying to keep music alive and keep people feeling good."
Give it up, babe. The only people who are going to buy your album are the hardcore fans who've stuck with you since 1991. No one outside of your fanbase will buy it, and it's not because it's anything personal - it's just that people aren't investing into projects anymore.
And it doesn't help that his music is limited to the Urban AC format.
R Kelly is underrated- he's talented as a singer, writer and a producer. I think he should focus less on his own music and instead start pitching songs to other artists.
He's a legend who deserves all the respect, but he hasn't been relevent in ages until he started doing all of those collabs.
You sound silly. Stawp It. R.Kelly has always been relevant in the
music industry whether it's behind the scenes or in the spotlight. You really need to do your research.
