I hate to be a goat, but I think that Mariah has permanently lost her belting ability.

I think her comfortable range is so much more precise and strong these days, but her nodules are going to get progressively worse. In 5 years Mariah won't be able to sing.

But Mariah's range is what has suffered most from her nodules. Even her low notes aren't as resonant. We like to say Mariah's in another peak; but we base that on the fact that Mariah has regained breath support in her technique. She's not in another peak. She's just taking care of her voice the best she can now, as it continues to decline :/

I don't think she will ever go for surgery because of the chances of it going completely wrong, like Julie Andrews. Has Mariah ever even referenced her vocal decline? The few interviews I've seen where they've dared to ask her, she's pretended everything is fine

u ain't goat, I didn't lie at all... her voice is in steady decline ever since Butterfly, I think I have her her lipping high notes in some of those I still believe performances, so I bet it began back then... buT it got really bad during Einstein album, she could not carry a tune anymore... it did get somehow better, but I think she is losing it... And in a way it is normal, as we age we lose our voice, but her technique was probablly tragic so that's why she has lost it so fast. Maybe surgery would help, MAYBE, then again it didn't help Julie at all... maybe she should try it, and if it fails she can always lip sync? Then again it doesn't matter anymore, she did amazing in the past, she looks good now, and it's all about the show now days... I wish she would talk about her vocal problems instead of ignoring them...

Talking about vocal issues does not help when you are still known as the vocal standard. I think it is something that can be done after she entirely retires from the industry, which I dont see being in the foreseeable future. But getting private coaching, warm up exercises etc etc, sure. Privately. lol
