I know you all criticize him and have a right to do so, but you do know that there are many countries out there than ban freedom of speech and even restrict many sites on the internet. Where's the hate towards them? Compared to Trump, Trump is PG.
that doesn't even make sense. like, how would you "close" the internet? the only way to come even remotely close to doing that would be cutting off all internet service to those areas, and the government and other major organizations have things that rely on the internet around the united states, so that can't happen. you could try to "block" them but it doesn't take a genius to get past those, and anyone who is dedicated enough to be "lost" to the internet will find their way past that pretty quickly, then they'll tell all their friends how to get past it, then everyone will ignore it. you could block people by IP but if wikipedia vandals can get past that then i doubt they'll stand a chance. censoring specific sites is a lot easier, but you would have to individually censor every single site on the internet. yeah, good luck with that.

The Internet has made it harder for people in power to keep secrets. Before it would take months to get out to the public and they had time to cover it up. Now, one mistake and it's all over Twitter and Facebook in seconds. It's probably why he wants parts of the Internet shut down. So he can be shady and get away with it.
