So in different countries there are different minimum ages to have sexual consent. In the U.S. frequently in places you see a 'must be at least 18'. Question is, is it really morally wrong if the consent is at 16? There's a big difference between the body of a 16 year old and a 6 year old..
IMO yes. Just because you're physically ready to handle sex, that doesn't mean you're mentally ready. Do I feel comfortable with a 40 year old being able to legally have sex with a 16 year old high schooler. No. Teens under 18 can have sex with other teens

I agree. It's really creepy for even a 20 year old to be having sex with a 16 year old. There has to be an age limit to condemn pedophilia and 18 tends to be the age where people are officially able to live on their own and do things like smoke.

Yeah It's technically illegal for two 17 year olds to have sex. Age of consent. They can't technically consent below 18. Of course, usually it's not a big deal.

13-14 year olds shouldn't be having sex period.
Many kids who lose their virginity that young end up becoming washed up and used before they're 25. I know some kids do have sex at that age, but many don't. Some 13 year olds are still playing with barbies...

Except for a tiny tiny number of teens, 13/14 year olds look very young Any adult claiming they were "lied" to is obviously trying to get away with child abuse. No way you see a 13 year old and think they could possibly be legal.

I actually kind of agree with this. (except maybe the 13-14 part ) But a lot of adults get tricked by thirsty kids and then they end up on the sex offender list for the rest of their lives. I do think that if you're old enough to drive 60 mph down the freeway, you're old enough to handle sex.

I can't think of anything besides knowing that they can manipulate them into having sex with them.
Plus, it is the responsibility of an adult to make sure that the person they are having sex with is legal. If they aren't sure, they shouldn't be having sex with them in the first place.
