Um... that person mentioned Dr. Ken because it's one of the only 2 shows on American TV with a majority Asian cast. So that makes 50% of Asian-American shows that include a black character. If you want to include American shows with an Asian lead like Quantico and The Mindy Project, both have black characters. So that's 75%.

And why would you find black people regularly on TV shows in the Asian continent? There are very few black people in Asian countries. And FYI, you STILL find blacks in Asian media. The last Miss Japan? Crystal Kay? Even Naomi Campbell has had a role in a Bollywood movie.

He should focus on improving Empire first.

Aside from the central cast of Fresh Off the Boat, which is a family based on a real-life one so it wouldn't make sense for any of them not to be Chinese, one of the recurring cast in most episodes is Prophet Bolden. So yes, both Asian American shows have at least one important black actor.

And black shows in the US are more apt to be compared to Asian shows in the US cuz they're both in the US.
